Does the office environment have to have windows? – Lack of natural light, colleagues get tired easily

What factors will wage earners consider the office environment? Place? Number of people? Greening? Whether there are windows or natural light is probably not a consideration (women may want to avoid exposure to ultraviolet rays and be exposed to the sun, it would be better). However, whether the office can be exposed to sunlight and outdoor scenery is very important to the state and mood of working people. !
A Cornell University study found that workers who are not exposed to natural light at work are more likely to appear drowsy and have more eye fatigue. In addition, artificial spaces such as offices can also confuse people’s memory: our body’s biological clock adjusts and adapts according to natural light. Don’t live with work and tasks.
Future Workplace, a foreign human resources company, also interviewed 1,614 wage earners and asked them to rank a series of office benefits and choose the one they wanted the most. Unexpectedly, compared to Hong Kong workers who would drool when they heard about the delicious staff restaurants, fitness centers, childcare services, etc., the most wanted employee benefits of most respondents were exposure to the sun and the outdoors. Opportunity for views. This survey result may sound laughable, but when it turns out that sunlight is very important to the human body, the ranking results make a lot of sense.
Why we need natural light at work
Nearly half (47%) of those surveyed said they felt tired due to the lack of natural light or windows in the office, while another 43% reported feeling depressed. Conversely, those with windows said they were happier (78%), satisfied with their jobs (73%), and were more engaged in their jobs (54%).
Finally, the study also pointed out that prolonged use of electronic products enhances people’s desire to be exposed to natural light. 73% of respondents agree that the longer they use electronic products, the more they want to watch them
The scenery outside the window or going out for a walk.
It makes sense, then, that looking out the window, going for a five-minute walk, and being featured in articles suggesting ways to de-stress and how to increase productivity has been on the list for years. Too tired next time? You don’t have to think about what snacks to eat or how much coffee to drink, it’s more useful to play games directly with the sun!
